What are the VBS Rounds?

The VBS Medical and Surgical Rounds series are educational events hosted virtually approximately every 2-3 months spanning the year. The rounds are designed to provide practicing retina specialists, fellows and residents case-based updates about important diseases, surgical techniques and important updates. VBS Rounds Format: This online meeting is intended to be an active and informal discussion of retina medical and surgical concepts. For each session, presenters will share 5-6 cases or surgical videos from a larger pool of submitted videos, followed by a panel discussion.

Upcoming VBS Surgical Rounds

Please join us on Tuesday, March 14th at 8:30 PM EST for the next VBS Surgical Rounds! The topic for this session will be Secondary IOLs, and we are honored to have Dr. Brandon Johnson as our guest discussant for this session. We are looking for video submissions from fellows in training! If you would like to submit a video, please submit a brief powerpoint (clinical history and exam findings, no teaching slides required) and an edited surgical video (3 minutes or less) to Royce Chen (royce.chen@gmail.com) via Dropbox (https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/o89cgu30sxc8thls5xj3u/h?dl=0&rlkey=1jypx851txxoe4o0mni0jaob5)  by Wednesday, March 8th. We will select about 5-6 videos for discussion at the rounds. VBS Rounds Format: This online meeting via Zoom is intended to be an active and informal discussion of retina surgical concepts geared specifically towards fellows and attendings in early stages of practice. For each session, we will present 5-6 surgical videos from a larger pool of submitted videos, followed by an excellent panel discussion. At the end of the session, attendees will vote on the top video. The winning fellow will be entered for a chance to present at a future VBS meeting.
